The very best restoration and preservation prints from the Academy Film Archive will be presented on breaking the big screen at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater, one of the finest screening facilities breaking in the world. A four-color reproduction of the original poster of the film will be featured on each evening's program and the curtain will rise after the playing of each year's Oscar®-winning song. All screenings start at 7:30 p.m. No late seating. Monday, November 17th – "American Beauty" (1999 breaking — 72nd Academy Awards®) will be preceded by "The Old Man and the Sea," recipient of the Oscar for Best Animated Short, the original trailer for "Gladiator " and footage from the Seventy-Second Academy Awards ceremony. Monday, November 24th – "Gladiator" (2000 — 73rd Academy Awards®) will be preceded by "Father and Daughter," recipient of the Oscar for Best Animated Short, the original trailer for "A Beautiful Mind d" and footage from the Seventy-Third Academy Awards telecast.
