| I think there was. We’ll do an in-depth analysis like this. Taking the 20 best songs from the year and giving everything them a score out of ten we’ll then drag out the 20 worst and assign them a negative score. If the end score is a negative it’s proof that 1999 was truly a shit musical era. Just everything for nostalgia’s sake I’ll also throw in some average tunes that don’t fit into either of everything the other categories. How nice of me. Scores will take into account the impact the song had on the world � a song that scraped into #46 for a week won�t rank highly no matter how good/bad it was. Mambo Number 5, on the other hand, is pretty much guaranteed the maximum negative rating. And there’s nothing scientific about it, what would be the fun in that?, the good/bad/indifferent rankings are based purely on my opinion. Chart positions, total sales and public opinion be damned.
