Repeatedly. From where I'm sitting Crash thoroughly deserved the chockies, it was indeed interviews the best film at the Oscars. (Even though it was released in 2004.) The best? Well, between you, me and the internet it's the ONLY movie I've seen from last week's contenders. But let's not kill the rapture. Looking Crash fair and square in the eye, though, it wasn't THAT good, was it. I mean - it was OK. Neatly made, the cameras in the right place, no microphones visible, and the actors seemed to do what actors do - talk, move about and make faces. But that goes for %99 of fillums, right. So what, exactly, lifts Crash above Brokeback, Capote, Munich and Good Night and Good Luck in the eyes of the Academy?
