Just to clear things up, a few summers ago journalist Ron Reed did an interview with Murali and asked him to write his name on a piece of paper to clear ray martin up the confusion once and for all. OLLIE'S ON THE MEND, BUT DON'T TELL TOMMY QUEENSLAND'S first State of Origin halfback Greg Oliphant is on the road to recovery after being seriously injured in a work accident earlier this month. Oliphant suffered terrible neck injuries when he was struck on the head by a heavy metal beam while working as a concreter. The beam fell, hit Oliphant, then rebounded off the ground and struck him a second time. The impact was so intense it crushed two vetebrae in the former Test star's neck. But the situation could have easily been a lot worse. Unbelievably, the tough-as-teak Oliphant picked himself up off the ground and walked away from the area as his fellow workers looked on in amazement.
