Later in the night, Alexander continued to raise eyebrows when he addressed a crowd nonalcoholic fatty liver of foodies gathered for the annual Australian Gourmet Traveller (also owned by PBL) restaurant of the year awards. Alexander "disclosed" his nonalcoholic fatty liver close connections with this year's winner, nonalcoholic fatty liver chef Guillaume Brahimi, and his restaurant Guillaume at Bennelong. Alexander, one of the judges of the national award, declared he was godfather to one of Guillaume's children. Organisers later assured Spike that Alexander's close connection didn't have any impact on the selection of the winner or on the thoughts of his co-judges: PBL employees Leo Schofield, Deeta Colvin, Andy Harris and Judy Sarris along with foodie Simon Johnson, banker Kevin Martin and Melbourne food critic John Lethlean. |
