We all have flaws and photo insecurities....Maggie's happened to be weight. Could have easily been Diary with the (insert flaw/insecurity here)Girl. I thoroughly enjoyed Maggie's internal dialogue and loved the characters. Maggie is an imperfect woman with an awesome, wry wit. I really felt drawn into her emotions. Not too many authors make me laugh out loud but Liza Palmer sure did. One review states that the ending was sad...that Maggie was vindictive. I wonder if that was it completely....or if photo Maggie was missing her childhood friend and wanted to share her a little bit photo too. But I'd be lying if I said there was a part of me that didn't LOVE that she did what she did. Oh, to have joined Maggie at Table Nine! My only disappointment: finishing the book and realizing that this is Palmer's debut. I wanted to head out and look for more of her work. A great, light read that draws you right into the crowd of characters.
