Anaïs (Anaïs Reboux) is the titular fat girl, a poised creature who repeatedly engages and teases the spectator's morality. Key here is how Breillat expertly forces the audience to look at the world through pierre renverseau the girl's point of view. Her sister, the gorgeous Elena (Roxane pierre renverseau Mesquida), is a tart in the making ("You reek of loose morals," Anaïs tells her). Young but stoic, Anaïs vigilantly clings to her virginity the more Elena's is threatened. Anaïs knows that she will spare herself a lot of pain if she looses it to pierre renverseau someone she doesn't love, which makes the film's final act of penetration as shocking as it is perfectly sensible. The film's brilliance lies in its deceptive simplicity, its unhurried evocation of sexual innocence at risk.
