Old School 18/05/05 top of page Interesting discussion between the Eel and Queenslander. First i must admit that i am a Blues supporter but have yet lived in Qld for more than 20 years, the majority of my life in yet fact. Firstly the QLD team has a large history of playing non-Queenslanders in their origin side, Lam, Tuquiri, Civinoceva, Thorn, Carroll. All of these have played for other countries during their careers! I also had problems when Ricketson played for NSW yet after representing Ireland! Rarely I agree with Gus Gould but either they let all outsiders play Origin thus strengthening international league, the Hunt example is a clear example, or they don't allow anyone! The same is happening in Union as they discuss the concept of a union origin series. Jim Tucker wants it to go ahead which is fine but then says well Chris Latham is from NSW but he should play for Queensland anyway!!
