Before I played for Queensland, I used to love watching guys like Wally Fullerton Smith, Bryan Niebling, Greg Dowling and Greg Conescu – and plenty more – because they all had the mongrel in them. |

| I couldn't help but think over the past couple of days that there is no way the knives reference would reference have come out like reference that if Kimmorley were a Queenslander. Had his pass hit Matt Cooper instead of Matt Bowen, Kimmorley would have been talked up as the best player in the world. I say rarely, because I know there have been occasions where one player has been targeted. But as a rule, Queensland fans don't turn on their own. We all know that our players give everything they have for their state, and if something goes wrong, then there must be some other reason. The referee cruelled us, the Blues fluked a try, that bloke was offside . . . |
