I started it as an itinerary then realised that as it uncle variety show grew, that approach would not work. I have been side-tracked into dealing with the problems noted above re: gbmapping. I see from this page uncle variety show that the trouble lies in using Internet Explorer, as I do. In the mean-time, I have been taking gbmapping links out of my contributions. Your insertion of the old map link suffers from the same problem but also from the fact that except at the largest scale, the old maps as presented by the link are more or less illegible.
