Wendy Shanker bbw mpegs.synchrotronsbasic.net site shows some spark and attitude in her writing that make "Fat Girl's Guide to Life" relatively entertaining, bbw mpegs.synchrotronsbasic.net site at least most of the time. But some of her information, which she presents as fact, bbw mpegs.synchrotronsbasic.net site is pretty darn skewed. My primary disagreement with Shanker is that she claims that compulsive eating is a problem for almost every fat person. So very very wrong! I know fat people who are compulsive eaters, and fat people who eat completely normally. I also know thin people who eat like horses and thin people who pick at their dinner. Read Laura Fraser's "Losing It" to see the research that backs up these statements. Some of us are fat, some of us are thin, and for almost all of us our size is not a lifestyle choice. Shanker does her readers a disservice by overgeneralizing on this issue.
