Jo lead the development of a program she calls CHIPS (Child Health in Primary Schools) tackling the tough issues of malnutrition, hearing deficits, scabies, headlice, first aid and general health support in her school. The success of CHIPS has already led the Royal Flying Doctor Service to adopt the scabies program and take it to the other indigenous communities across the State and has led to an education ‘Showcase’ award for innovation and significant improvements in educational outcomes. |
