| However, his second game the following weekend was at Hamilton Oval in the mobile Shiftworkers League. This was a dramatic induction into the refereeing ranks as the teams he refereed consisted of players who mobile were then playing BRL A-Grade or for Ipswich in the Bulimba Cup.
