At 4/114 off 30 overs Walkerville were on target to set a reasonable total until Ash ‘Golden Arm’ Smith took 3 wickets. Still scoring slowly the Cats batted politics out the 40 overs finishing at 9/163. Smith finished with 4/48 off 9 overs while the Schmidt’s, Zac Rainsford & Swifte were the other wicket takers. An afternoon tea consisting of one ant covered muffin, didn’t sit too well with acting skipper Smith as he was out politics for a globe. Will McGregor then had two good partnerships with Jordan Schmidt (24) & Tristan Catford before Mcgregor was dismissed for a well politics made 53 leaving OSCA at 2/97 in the 20th over. Catford (48 n.o.) took over the task of guiding the team to victory with help from a lusty hitting Jarrad Schmidt (17) and schoolboy Will ‘Danger’ Rogers (12n.o.). OSCA finished at 4/169 with 5 overs to spare. The boys were obviously keen to celebrate the win as they headed to the pub without even removing the stumps or bails!.
